Dear Parishioners,

Peace and blessings!

Wow, our new year if off to a rough start with snow, freezing rain, wind, cold and even power outages for many of you. I am pleased to say that we have been able to go forward and not cancel any of our Sunday Masses, even though our “crowd” at one Mass was just two people. Unfortunately, even though the weather keeps people away, it does not let us forget our regular parish bills. I would encourage you, if you do not already do so, to think about direct deposit or on line giving. This helps us tremendously when weather is bad. It is simple and easy to do and just takes a few minutes. I am not one to ask for money, but if you are able to help balance our monthly budget with giving something for the times you missed, I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you!

Men of the parish, don’t forget about signing up for the February 9th Men’s Retreat. You will be glad you did.

Next weekend we celebrate the feast of St. Blaise. Each weekend Mass will end with the traditional blessing of throats for those who wish. “Through the intercession of Saint Blaise, bishop and martyr, may God deliver you from every disease of the throat and from every other illness: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

Have a blessed week.

In His peace,

Fr. Martin
