Serving through Prayer
Purpose: Provide intercessory prayer support for those requesting prayers.
Responsibilities: Willingness to pray for the needs of others.
Helpful Attributes: Time and prayerful attitude. Understand and respect confidentiality.

Purpose: To weave prayers for God’s love and healing into the shawls for those in need of comfort and support.
Responsibilities: To provide materials, create shawls and pray for the recipients as needed.
Helpful Attributes: The ability to knit or crochet although instruction is available.
Time: As needed to complete a shawl and one meeting per month.
Serving through Hospitality
Purpose: Welcome new parishioners.
Responsibilities: Make welcoming calls.
Helpful Attributes: Desire to make new members feel involved and welcome.

Sunday Coffee Hour (Following 9am Mass):
Purpose: Provide coffee and donuts after 9am Mass.
Responsibilities: Arrange for serving of coffee and donuts; cleanup
Helpful Attributes: Planning and organization.
Time: 1-2 hours per week.

Rose’s Ministry – Funeral Reception:
Purpose: Help grieving families greet relatives and friends in a Church Family environment.
Responsibilities: Prepare a coffee and cake reception following a funeral service.
Helpful Attributes: A quiet, supportive nature; a desire to assist others during their time of sorrow.
Time: Flexibility is key. Receptions are scheduled as needed; teams rotate responsibility.
Purpose: Send cards to parishioners – welcoming, celebrating reception of the sacraments, in sympathy.
Responsibilities: Mail cards to names supplied by the church office. Cards are designed on a computer and printed.
Helpful Attributes: Artistic and computer skills.
Time: Varies by season.
Serving through Knowledge
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults):
Purpose: Provide assistance and guidance to those individuals looking to join our Church.
Responsibilities: Provide a spiritual process (to include the history, theology, and Sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church) for the participants, both catechumens and candidates, to help them understand and experience the teachings and practices of the Catholic Church as they work to discern their call to enter the Church.
Helpful Attributes: Individuals who are in good standing with the Church and exhibit a degree of spiritual maturity may be considered as sponsors participating in the RCIA program.
Time: Weekly sessions are held each Sunday morning from 11am to 1pm
School Volunteer Ministry:
Purpose: To provide additional resources to teachers and students so that each student can experience the full benefits of faith-based instruction leading to a well-rounded child.
Responsibilities: Varied: Assist teacher in classroom, assist in library, tutor, and other school related tasks.
Helpful Attributes: Likes working with children. Believes every child should receive, academically and spiritually, an education that helps each child become a socially responsible adult.
Time: Generally, several hours one day a week.

E-Newsletter (IC Blessings + Bendiciones de IC):
Purpose: To generate a quarterly web-based parish newsletter that provides stories of interest related to our parishioners and our parish community.
Responsibilities: Generate story ideas and provide copy content and photos.
Helpful Attributes: English and Spanish speaking reporter/writers, photographers
