Pope Francis has stated “The Holy Spirit, as Jesus promises, guides us "into all truth" (Jn 16:13). He leads us not only to an encounter with Jesus, the fullness of Truth, but guides us "into" the Truth, that is, he helps us enter into a deeper communion with Jesus himself, gifting us knowledge of the things of God. We cannot achieve this on our own strengths. And if God does not enlightens us interiorly, our being Christians will be superficial.” Come and let the Spirit grow within us to become the people we were created to be. To embrace our lives in Christ. To become salt and light for the world.

Spiritual Direction

Spiritual Direction is available at Immaculate Conception Parish with Four Directors currently available. Our Parish is now one of the very few Parishes in the Diocese with Spiritual Direction being offered by certified laity. Spiritual Direction, through regular meetings with a Spiritual Director (one on one relationship) is primarily about growth in one’s spiritual life. It encourages a personal relationship with God and how He is working in one’s life through the use of scriptures, prayer, and journaling. It employs the use of the Spiritual Exercises and Rules of Discernment developed by St. Ignatius of Loyola. All discussions are held in confidence. Sacramental Preparation

The Latin word sacramentum means "a sign of the sacred." The seven sacraments are ceremonies that point to what is sacred, significant and important for Christians. They are special occasions for experiencing God's saving presence. Sacraments can be thought of as signs and instruments of God's grace. From baptism, reconciliation, communion, confirmation, marriage, holy orders and anointing of the sick, we will assist you and walk with you on your journey. We walk together.
