Our Strength and Our Hope
For over 100 years, the Church of the Immaculate Conception has been blessed with much growth, faith and love. From a modest beginning of only 19 men, women and children, our church has grown to what it is today: a thriving community of over 2000 families looking forward to a future guided by the Holy Spirit rooted in the strength and hope of Jesus Christ.
From Humble Beginnings...
Established in 1912, Immaculate Conception is part of the Diocese of Charlotte, North Carolina. We recognize and are grateful for the commitment and sacrifice that countless families have made over the past years to make our parish a wonderful faith-filled place. From the small clap-board church that provided a place of worship for the original families so long ago to the current church campus that encompasses our beautiful sanctuary, fellowship hall, chapel, elementary school, spiritual counseling and healing center, and our acclaimed St. Gerard House, we are so grateful to our Lord for the abundant blessings he has poured out upon us.
And through the grace of our Lord, we also owe a debt of gratitude for the wonderful guiding hands of our many priests who have so lovingly created an atmosphere of warmth and love throughout the years. Their leadership has provided a foundation built upon Jesus Christ. And through him, all things are possible.
